Blocking of SPAM.

Digital Razor actively expresses it's right to protect it's subscribers from SPAM by blocking the offending domain/IP class/source from sending email to Digital Razor subscribers.

Determining who gets blocked.

When a submission of SPAM reaches our abuse department, the following is the steps taken to determine if the originator should or should not be blocked from our network. Using the header information included in the email, the following questions are presented. If any of these result in "No", the originating domain and/or ip class will be banned.



- Does the sending domain exist?

- Does the domain of the mail server exist?

- Does the message include an UNSUBSCRIBE method in the message?

- Does the UNSUBSCRIBE link point to a United States recognized network?



If any of the following are answered "Yes" the originating domain and/or ip class will be banned:




- Does the UNSUBSCRIBE link point to a free mail service with a bogus email address?

- Was the email "bounced" off of a United States recognized network without the network owner's permission?

- Does the message use valid commercial email data in attempts to get a valid email address from the consumer, without permission of the commercial data's owner?



What to do if you are blocked from our mail system.

If you have willingly participated in SPAM, you will remain blocked. If you feel you are in the right, contact our abuse department with your complaint.



Occasionally, mistakes are made, and a network may have been blocked that was not intended to be blocked. If this is the case, send an email to our abuse department and notify us of the error.



Reporting SPAM.

If any Digital Razor subscriber receives SPAM, forward a copy of the email, including ALL headers to abuse@digitalrazor.com. If you are unsure about how to send us the headers, contact our tech support and they will assist you. Our abuse department will determine what action is necessary and notify the subscriber of the action taken or not taken.



Subscriber SPAM.

If you are a Digital Razor subscriber, and use our service for SPAM purposes, your account WILL BE TERMINATED IMMEDIATELY. In addition, no refund will be given to the subscriber for time not used in the pre-paid period. This is in accordance with our Terms and Policies that every Digital Razor subscriber is subject to.
